Default DIY - Replace drum hardware / lugs

Hi,

I have an old Pearl All Birch (BRX I think) and want to replace all of the lugs and tension rods but don't know where to begin to look for the right parts. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Pics of kit below.

Thnx!

JR

not all other hardware, no, but some other lugs should fit. how many bolts hold on those long lugs? if it is just two (one near batter, one near reso) you are in good shape to put anything you want on them. if they are held on with four (two at top, two at reso) then measure the gap and find a lug with consistent measurements.

if you want new pearl hardware check ebay or contact pearl.

if you want to go with something else there are tons of sites that offer misc drum hardware.
here are a few
drum maker
precision drum
am drum parts
drum gear online

Like tbmills said you're gonna want to check hole spacing, and either find a way to get correctly spaced pearl lugs or get them custom from a drum company. I can tell you that doing something like this is gonna cost you a significant amount of cash so be prepared, especially if you're putting new lugs over the whole kit. What made you decide you want to change the lugs? Nice drums you have by the way.

Thanks for your response. I have two drum kits, this has been my gigging kit for a while so it's a bit banged up and the hardware is a bit pitted. I was thinking that this would not be too expensive to replace the lugs and tension rods to make the kit a bit nicer for selling purposes but it looks like from everyone's comments that this is not the case. Perhaps I can just replace a few of the really bad ones and clean up the shells. How much you figure I can get for the drums themselves? Thanks again!
