Default Hey everyone....

I'm getting a Yamaha DD-65 for Christmas this year and just picked up my first practice pad last night. I've played guitar for 13 years and bass for 4 years. I've always wanted to learn drums, but it wasn't feasible... Then I saw the DD-65 electronic pad.... I understand it's nothing like an acoustic kit or even a true electronic kit, but it's as good as it gets for me right now and I intend on learning to play this thing the proper way, just like it were a drum kit!

If you're not familiar with the DD-65, here's a link showing a guy messing around...

I love metal and prog.... I plan to hit this place up with all sorts of questions in the near future.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

That looks like a lot of fun to play. The best part I think is, it's always in tune and you never have to replace drum heads....lol

El-oh-el, indeed! That's a fun little toy, no doubt.
