Default Question about Splash cymbal mount

This was something that was on ebay. I tried to bid and win but I lost. I have been trying to find this so I can buy it but I can't find it on the Gibraltar website or anywhere!

It's 10" from the bend to the hinge.
It's perfect for my setup. Got any clues as to where I can get it or something VERY similar.

Try a DW Dog Bone or Puppy Bone. I use two Dog Bones and Three Puppy bones on my set and they're great.

I've got a Tama one on my set and it works out great

There is a picture of one...I wouldn't say they're cheap...but they're not rediculously expensive.

Yeah, I've been keeping my eyes out for another one of these as well. They don't sell this exact setup anymore, unfortunately. I would say "try to piece one together", but the bent part WITH the hinge is impossible to find anywhere.

If you DO find a manufacturer, let us know. I've exhausted my search months ago...

Are you sure you need the "L" bend? Because Gibraltar do basically a boom arm and clamp readily available which I use to mount my splash, and its great, really solid.

EDIT: Actually, Gibraltar have about three items which are very similar to what you're looking for on their website. Go to Hardware>Stands by Series>Accessories and you'll see them there.

Yes, the L bend is crucial. I've tried them side-by-side, and the one with the L bend is not only more sturdy, but also more positionable (on a lateral plane), and more easily so. It's really difficult to reposition the other mount with the cymbal still on it, as it will slide and rotate freely.

Thanks for the lead, though.

Finally got my new cymbal arm yesterday. Looks great and works wonderfully. I love getting new gear even if it's something small!
