Great color! The oak stands out under that bright red.

Gotta love the Anton Fig snare as well.

Thanks all, I've had them for about 2 years now...still getting used to the tuning I want and enjoying every minute...had the Anton Fig snare for 4 years...GREAT snare drum!

Aydee, that silver embossed finish still floors me...absolutely stunning.

Thanks SOG, and I'll return the compliment- These red Yammie Oak customs are actually the best sounding kit I've ever heard... Keith Carlock playing them in NYC with the Steely Dan gig! Nothing comes close to how sweet they sounded.

Check his head combination and tuning, if you can.....might get some interesting insights.

2b, I am very happy with the Oak Customs...solid kit, I don't play very loud so the volume they produce is great for me (they are loud drums). I am hoping to add a 14 X 16 mounted floor tom soon (if I can find one)...

What is your thoughts on your Oaks (do you have them posted?)

Ainulindale - I bought the black Anton Fig snare a couple of years before the Oak Customs. The black tends to go with any kit I imagine...great snare and at least in my opinion a really good looking snare as well. I'll try to upload some pics of the snare by itself.

Thanks!

Great kit!
I agree on the AF snare, it's a great one.

Looks awesome with the Black and wood hoops in with your Red Oaks too.

Man what a great color it is huh ;)

Im thinking of order an extra 18'' or a customized DaxDad (like Russ) in the ROK color.

Henhog, please post some pics of your kit...can't have too many oak customs on the site!

KarlCrafton, the Anton Fig snare does really go well with the kit...both in appearance and in sound, no problem cutting through the volume of the oaks at all.

Also, I am very impressed with the wood hoops...love the sound (best rim sounds out there) and unbelievably durable...I have been playing them pretty regular for 4 years or so now...no signs of wear at all...

Thanks all!

Jack
