Default Heads for new Pro M

Just got me new Pro M kit in the studioease configuration -

22 x 18 Bass Drum
10 x 8 Tom Tom
12 x 9 Tom Tom
14 x 14 Tom Tom
16 x 16 Tom Tom
14 x 5.5 Snare Drum

I've always used Evans, so I decided to stick with them, though I won't mind buying Remo depending on the feedback. I play heavier music - rock, metal, alternative, progressive, so I'd like my snare to have a nice, tight sound with a bit of ring, want my toms to be open and 'sing', and my bass drum to have a nice punchy, fat sound. So far, I think I'm going for this:

Snare - Power Center batter, and Hazy 300 on the reso
Toms - G2 Clear batter, and G1 Clear on the reso
Bass Drum - Emad on batter and reso, with black EQ double patch

Anyone got any other suggestions?

I think the EQ3 would be a better kick batter. Past that its sounds OK

have you looked into the ec2s at all. theyre nice, but i dont know exactly your taste in tom sound. but they might be what you are looking for. its probably worth checking them out. properly tuned, they can send your drums to an unseen high.

I have EC2 Clear heads on my Mapex Pro M Studio kit, but I would say go with the g2s or the Gplus heads. The EC2s do have that sort of flat no personality sound but not to the extent of say Pinstripes. A great bass reso is the EQ1 Coated Reso version. I've got an EMAD2, which I'm not sure I like the plastic attack on the batter side and it's got lots of low end and punch to it. I probably will go with just an EQ4 in the future though.
