eq3 : 2 plys 7mm each, a bit dead compared to the PS3
PS3 : single ply 10mm, more sustain than EQ3 I like both but the PS3 don't fit well over my bass drum... You can compare the PS3 to the EQ 4 from Evans... about the same... Philippe |

Correct, a more equal comparison is the Evans EQ4 to the Remo PS3.
I own both heads. Both single ply with an overtone ring on the underside.

The Evans EQ1 is a single 10 mil head also except it has a removable muffling ring in addition to the built in muffling ring. It even fits the friggin drum unlike the Remo POS3.
