New setup and my dad made a snare!

Hello,

this morning I decided to changes my setup and I set it up like Jojo Mayer. Its really comfertible.
And in other news my dad made a snare drum! It took him 4 hours! Its made from oak, mahogany and maple. The snare is 5x14" and has hardware from my "not in use" mapex pro m snare. Its sounds pretty good, really loud! og no overtones. My drum teacher tuned it really high and liked it. My dad is maybe going to make more snare drums.

Is that djembe as big as it looks?

Oh wow man your kit looks so comfortable. I like it a lot. That snare your dad made is pretty unique, where did he get the shell? Or did he make it as well??

like your set up.. how is the custom snare treating you..? how long did it take your father to make it..and what type of wood is used for it..?

That's a great looking snare. If your dad is making more, find out how much they cost to make and see if you can get some buyers. I'm intrigued.

Thanks, I don´t know how he managed to build the snare so quickly, he used his coffebreaks one day and made it.
I love that dream crash ride, use it for my jazz band because it has a lot of wash.

Thanks, the kit is very comfortable. The snare is made from oak, mahogany and maple, and yes he made the shell.

The snare is pretty cool. It´s very loud and kind of dead with no overtones. As it says in the text above, its took him 4 hours to make and he used oak, mahogany and maple.

I will make my dad build more snares of course. And if me and my dad get nice sounds we will sell some.
