Hah, I guess I see what you mean.

"Nice shop you have here; would be a shame if something were to... happen to it. Like a drum solo".

The first pic is my band The Killgirls opening The Boiler Room for the Adelaide leg of the 2011 Big Day Out festival. We were on at 11 and by the time we finished had a couple of hundred people in the crowd. The second shot is us playing as part of the opening night concert for the 2010 Adelaide Fringe Festival (a massive international arts festival). We had a 20 piece African choir join us for a song along with an astronaut wearing a pink tutu who came out to the 2001 Space Odyssey (sp?) theme. Apparently the official crowd figure was 25 000!! More photos from this show are on our website.

Kick Snare Hats at the top of a mountain in Austria.

Whilst touring Austria, Italy and Switzerland, We had an apres ski gig
at the top of a mountain. 300+ bouncing people. Avalanche anyone? Crazy times!

All the backline was loaded in via a cable car!
Patio Heaters on stage!
It was -12 when we played.

Epic gig - Win

Thanks Andy :}

Part of the fun keeping me busy so far this year was a recent set of quartet concerts with someone from your side of the pond my dear friend Len from London, England playing some of his new and old originals and a few from Jared who was also in the group. Some of our favourites from Kenny Wheeler thrown into the mix too.

Len will back over in a few months for our show with the Delta Quartet at our Vancouver International Jazz Festival...going to be fun!

That looks like it could be a scene from the best music video ever. Reminds me of RHCP.

Wow! Great pictures Leo. Looks like a superb gig. You need to get your music heard outside of Cuba somehow. A video would be ideal (difficult, I know). I think your band would have a lot of girl fan appeal!!!

Hi,Bram! So far I got no problem with the kick's sound.It's still sound like those normal 16" kick.I did add another 2 layer of drum heaf(cut as a half moon shape)just made the "kick" head more thicker.This compact drum-kits is good low volume's gigs,drum pratice! When ever I use it on the club or concert,I will use all Audio-Technical drum mic.What I like about this drum-kits is light,and very easy to carry around!! I'm kind of lazy drummer,so normally,I don't pack my drum!just put it on my car's back seat!!!!

Been on a forum break this year but thought to chime in to share a few pics from the South Delta Jazz Workshop I taught and performed at over the last week.

Here's 3 pictures of me with my favorite bass player, good buddy and fellow faculty member at the workshop from LA Rob Kohler, snapped during his noon hour concert featuring a new original drum/bass duet piece written by Rob for the concert.

Hope everyone's having a good summer!

Good to see you Stan. Hope all is well. Summer in my neck of the woods is scorching, but still beats shoveling that white stuff.

Thanks GD!

Yes we're finally having some decent actual warm summer weather the last few weeks up here. Finally I could put the snow shovel away :}

Have a good one everyone!

From a guest appearance in May. We jumped up during another band's set and did 5 songs. As you can see, it's a really small stage:
