I don't have that many good pictures from gigs, for some reason everyone seems to prefers the singer when snapping photos.
These are from a gig last summer

Drummers don't get very many good shots at live shows. I'm gonna start setting up my kit at the front.

And I guess these count too :)

We Played with Night Ranger and The Tubes (in late July THIS YEAR) at a large festival, and with Extreme and King's X (at the same theater as the Uncle Kracker show).

We played with Randy Bachman/Burton Comings (BTO-Guess Who) last month at the same "shed" as the (New) Cars show....large Pavilion area and a giant "hill".
I forgot my camera that day, but I was on a really cool riser that they rolled in and out.

We've been asked to open for some cool acts and have been really well received (with some very nice words from Simon Phillips (Toto) & Johnathan Mover (Tubes) too!).

We've done shows here and there at smaller clubs (between 200-500 capacity rooms) ourselves (and get to play way longer!).

This year it's just been the large places--I'm not complaining at all, but a longer set time would be great, and a smaller place can be just as fun.

I've done lots of shows since the mid 80's (like a lot of people here!), but I don't have those pics in the computer to upload, but some are kinda funny.
D0 you guys have a website or where can I hear you guys? You have a lot of impressive shows under your belt!

Anyways here are some old ones (can't find any new ones)

Going through some of my NZ pics, I felt this one could find a home here.

Caroline Bay Carnival, Timaru, NZ. As a band that typically plays stages that barely can accommodate us, there was plenty of room for us here, now if we could just learn how to use it...

Best was having a 94 y/o gentleman approach us after the show and thank us for the great performance, feels really good to be able to get a crowd of 20 somethings on a dance floor one night and get praise from someone his age the next.

Here's a cool photo from one of the noon hour concerts featuring the music of visiting faculty instructor Rob Kohler. Seen in the pic are members from this years faculty including your truly at the kit. We are performing an arrangement written the day before by Rob with Infinitus a professional string trio group with an interest in playing jazz. They signed on this year joining us as students. One lucky thing for this full time faculty member was that I spent a afternoon playing the kit working with these guys discussing and playing various jazz concepts and sounds.. totally amazing collaboration working with these fine musicians and what a cool experience!

Here's a link to a full summary of this years South Delta Jazz Workshop and Jazz Festival:

Nah, Len is staying in CANADA! Dunno when/if he'll be back (but I hope he comes back, sorry Stan:).

Practising, eh? You ready to play the manhole cover?

It was a great week Gregg finishing up with a evening concert of Len's and Jared's new tunes that was met with a standing ovation at the end. What a week of playing and teaching and the surprise collaboration for me being time spent one day with the string trio which was the icing on the cake. Len felt the same with his time spent with them during the camp. A few days after the camp we recorded a CD worth of new material by Len and Jared for a future release.

I'll say hello for sure when I see him but I do believe after a visit back east he is heading back over to the other side of the pond.

Thats great man! He and Jared are such great players, writers and people. Can't wait to hear the recording!

So he might be coming back here?! Phew, I can stop looking for sax players for my band when there was only ever one I wanted anyway:)

Duncan- Ha ha man, yeah, the clanger, no one knows what to do with it, it's fun to see the puzzled looks on peoples faces as they try and play it, then immediately switch to one of the crashes to ride on instead:)

Yes that jazz festival show fell on a busy weekend for traffic Bram and the performance venue Performance Works on Granville Island in Vancouver is considered a nightmare to drive into on the summer weekends. Cars can back up for several blocks for a long stretch of time to try to find a spot on the island on days like this.

So....that's when the call came in to me from the organizers to use the backline kit for this concert. But hey I did use my own Peace 9 ply maple shell snare and my Agops...oh and wore the shirt :}

Picture of a recent Chopper Club bike rally gig we did without our keys player (he had to pull out last minute due to illness). Anyhow, even though it's got quite a lot of stuff on it, this pic shows just how compact my kit is.
