Radeq, there is something about that SONOR head that makes it the only one I can think of that looks good vertically or horizontally.

The first three pics are from my school's Battle of the Bands, my band's first gig. That's not my kit! Haha, and only like 3 of the cymbals are mine lol.
![]() ![]() ![]() The next one is the only decent pic of me drumming at my band's last gig. Harder to get a good angle because the stage is so much smaller than my school's lol.

Ok thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth.... first 2 were taken at the Sydney Opera House in December 2005.
3rd shot was taken at an outdoor street festival here in Sydney in December 2006... that day was windy, cold and my set was in between the rain. Cheers, Andy |

No, not my band. I just wanted a picture with the kit. I do run a performing arts theatre so I do get to play on a lot of different kits......

Here's one of my band's gigs a a local bar. I'm playing on some dude's 7-piece Pearl Export ELX. Sounded like wet cardboard. They had all new heads, too.

Here's one of me at a recent gig, actually during the soundcheck. It's a campy pose, but I like the pic, regardless. I also love how my turquoise satin finish makes my drums look like they are in motion or filled with water or something.

this is the only picture with everyone in it
![]() playing my Gretsch Catalina Club Rock green sparkle kit (26,13,16...the 18" was at home although sometimes it made an appearance as a kick too) with my jazz combo here. This kit is a lot of fun to play and it's easy to set-up. My other kit is a Mapex ProM kit with suspended toms which takes forever to get everything right and it takes up twice the room because you have to get the stand for the 'floor toms' going. I like to use this Catalina though as I get the old jazz sound quite easily from those big drums instead of the toy drum type of sound from the be-bop era. The snare is a Slingerland chrome over brass I suspect to be thirty years old or more (originally was the Gene Krupa model). |
