Well everything is still on my kit, you just can't see it. The swish is a little further away in the picture cuz I had to move it to mess with my bass drum ... but usually it's a little further than the bell of my ride. And I'm a little less than 5' 10" (that's around 177 cm i think), so I'm not that tall.

The new pic is a high angle just of the cymbals. The ceiling is low and I can't get more in the shot. the setup is the same. What you see in the bottom right is my 14" tom.

hey nice kit, its awesome. Just one question though. You have top of the line everything, DW set, Paiste Dark Energy stuff and a lot more and plus the Roland kit. How old are you and where do you get that kind of money?

i think someone should come up with a universal response when the owner doesnt want to or it doesnt matter where they got the money or how much it costs. different people, different situations, different abilitys bleh bleh bleh.

something like
i won the lottery.
then people get the idea, it doesnt matter.

It's a Tama prototype ... if that helps.

The shape reminds me of Tama's lugs, personally!

Ooh and thanks for the compliment. Good to know my snare looks pretty :)

Oh god Aahz get over yourself. You and your amazing kit with my dream cymbals. Your so selfish, everythings always about you, just cause this is your thread featuring your amazing kit and cymbals. Actually i was talking about Gringos snare. Which is a maryland custom.

So mehhh Aahz...Mehhh!

Although your snare's pretty too. As i've always said it looks like suade.

Are you stupid? I've posted three examples of my playing in the forum before.

And to gringo ... don't worry I'll get more of my playing online somewhat soon ... its just that at the moment I've had bigger priorities than drummerworld (no offense bernhard!)

My favorite set up in DrummerWorld (including the pro kits featured on the main site!)

I'm completely lusting after Paiste dark energy cymbals now. I like how the dw hardware is flexible enough to avoid using a rack (not that I have anything against them, just makes the kit look more 'open').

Anyway, rock on

Yeah, I just haven't felt a need to go crazy with the setup in that way. I just haven't felt like I wanted to have the sounds of the second snare, tambourine, and cowbell in my kit at the moment, and its not needed.

Oh and I'm waiting for some hardware to mount the splashes.

Sorry Dunc. I have big plans, with little drums.

Actually I don't yet but I will. Besides I need the stuff for studio work anyways. I need to show pictures of the studio sometime too (now with Protools on a g5 and everything hehe)

Not at all, it's just in the range I need. I can hit the far side rim at the most, and that's all you need to hit. So that means its closer and more comfortable to hit the usual rimshots. And usually that's all with my right hand. I can reach it with my left of course, but generally when I'm hitting that snare, I'm also using the cowbell/tambourine on the other side.

Sweet setup aahznightsky! The flexibility and design of DW hardware never ceases to amaze me! Your tom setup reminds me of the way Bill Bruford currently sets up his toms. Just out of curiosity, was he an inspiration to you at all in chosing to position yours that way?
