Doesn't the PSM 600 do both?
My PSM 200 bodypack can be wired direct or go wireless.

The quality of the PSM 600 series is superior. Some chose it over the 700 series. A lot of the wireless issues anyone has is due to interference and static. Some frequencies don't do so hot when there are a lot of other wireless things happening.
Personally, I have no issues with my wireless. The only reason to go wired would be if I was constantly getting outside intereference.
