Default The BASSment

Thought I'd share this pic. I almost live in my basement now. My buddy moved into an apartment & could not take his Sonor Force 3001 kit with him, so I am baby sitting them. All my drummer buds want to hang out at my place & I can't figure out why.....

:-)

Mod may want to move to My Gear. Sorry....

only one battle so far & that was the day he brought them over. I was on the 3 piece kit, so I had to be more creative. Good times....

The Renowns & Slingerlands are mine, he left the Sonors. He also has a set of Risen drums that he keeps in his practice space...

updated picture. Now includes a Risen custom kit with Paiste Signature cymbals. This kit belongs to the same friend that owns the Mapex. Since he's in an apartment, I get to reap the benefits & babysit his beautiful drums...

3 things you need...

1. earplugs
2. isolating headphones (to go over the earplugs)
3. 3 friends worthy of battle!

You could do 'four in time'...

Or combing all 4 kits to make a monster.

And i love the overhanging ride setup. Reminds me of how I used to set up particularly loose stands that couldn't hold up the ride.

Thanks guys. It does get pretty loud down there at times. He has DW hardware & he cannot get his ride cymbal low enough without hanging it like that. It seems to work well enough. Honestly, i think he's jealous of my rack....

And padding on the walls!

I cannot imagine playing in a concrete room. But I play with protection pretty much whenever I play anyhow.

I've seen music stores with fewer kits on the floor.

Looks like Disneyland for Drummers.

Don't touch your buddies kit unless he says its ok. Also, please don't let anyone touch it as well. Looks like a great drum battle is in the making.

He's a cool cat. He already told me I could gig with his gear if I wanted to. I won't, of course, but that is just the kinda guy he is....
