Default My new kit

Hello everyone at drummerworld
i got my new kit today my mapex saturn la kit in the krystal crush finish.
im in love with this kit havnt tuned it properly yet or bought new heads 'im broke for a few weeks' and yet the kit sound amazing :D

Setup sizes:
22x20
12x9
16x16
14x7

Cymbals:
Sabian Pro
14 hats
16 crash
18 crash
20 ride
Sabian b8 10 splash

Hardware:
Mapex 550 hihat stand straight and boom stands.
Sonor snare stand
iron cobra pedal

The bigger sizes on the snare and bass make this kit sound so deep and its just the most amazing sound to hear from a brand new kit i must say!

That's gorgeous. The black hardware gives a sporty look to the classy finish. Are you digging the sound?

I won't knock on you about moongel since you said that you haven't tuned them properly yet... ; ) Gorgeous looking kit. If there's anything that Mapex can never do wrong with it's their finishes. Nice sizes, plenty of depth to spare. Don't break your back carrying that kick, though.

Welcome to the Mapex family!!

I just got my Saturn kit a few months back in Root Beer Burst w/ black hardware.

But I must say, that Krush finish is SWEET!!! I saw it in the catalog too.

Enjoy them!

Your kit looks great! Like Youenjoy said, Mapex's finishes are world class and the new Krush finishes are carrying the torch nicely. The sparkle and hardware combo gives the kit both a classy and edgey look which is executed very tastefully. I think that's hard to do, so cheers to you and Mapex for the accomplishment.

I do not prefer Remo heads to Evans or Aquarian, but the Saturn series comes stock with Emperors and Ambassadors (which of course is Remo's high-end heads) so you may have some tuning success that can delay the purchase of new heads long enough to save up for anything else...oh I don't know...cymbals or hardware or pedals. Lots of cool stuff to buy.

I do like the theme you're running with: HUGE drums warrant HUGE pictures!
