Default New guy, new Premier kit

Hello all, just thought I'd share some pics and specs of my Premier Cabria APK kit

10x8 tom
12x9 tom
14x14 floor tom
20x18 bass drum
black diamonnd finish

Snares
14x5.5 Premier
14x5.5 Mapex Pro M

Cymbals
14 inch Sabian Xs
16 inch Paiste PST3 crash
20 inch Planet Z ride

Factory heads, made by Remo

I'll look to upgrade my cymbals soon, and get some new heads. I'm thinking something coated.

That is all :)

Welcome to the forum! Yeah, we only have a small handful of folks with Premier's, at least that I've seen. Drums look setup really comfortably. Any significance behind the muppet??

Welcome to the best drumming site in the planet! I almost bought a Premier kit about five years ago. They make a solid kit for a great price. If your familiar with posting files, we at drummerworld would love to hear some sound samples of your new kit?

So...in that last picture, either you're playing really fast or you're in the Witness Protection Program. Either way - impressive.

As for the kit very nice. I have mine currently set up very similar with the rack toms slightly offset to the snare side.

Those snares seem to be the same depth. An optical illusion maybe, if I'm mistaken.

And welcome to the forum - check that - the AWARD WINNING DRUMMERWORLD FORUM.

The puppet I bought a long time ago because i just thought it was funny. Looks a bit like Dr. Phil, I think :P
I just put it there because i attached the double tom arm to a cymbal stand, but i don't have a cymbal to put there. Just thought I'd cover up the cymbal arm with something funny.
I recently bought a tambourine and I sometimes put it on the cymbal arm and angle the top part so the tambourine is more or less flat. I find that the tambourine vibrates too much when I hit the toms, so I don't use it that often.

I don't have any sound samples at the moment, but I played a gig with this kit on Friday, so I might be able to find some videos of me playing. They were all mic'd up and everything; the band after me used the drums as well and I was pretty impressed with how they sounded with mics on. I'll try to track those down.

And that's just a camera trick haha. I'm not in the WPP, and I wish I could play that fast haha.
This setup I find most comfortable, or with the smallest tom taken off to make it a four-piece. I just prefer having the ride over the bass drum, as opposed to above the middle tom.
And yeah, the snares are the same depth, I accidentally pressed 6 instead of 5.

The Mapex just feels "bigger" to me to haha. Maybe it's the sound. I use it more than the Premier snare.

Thanks for the kind words :)
