Default My new 1983 Tama Imperialstar Kit

Well, I couldn't find a Lars kit that was affordable, so I picked up these babies with cases, stands, and a few cymbals for a great deal. They sound great and are very loud.

I say get that hardware professionally painted black, then you'll have a Lars kit.

Please tell me that's not a 16x16 mounted tom.

Might resemble one but not quite!! The floors are 16x16 and 18x16, so no mounted 16. They are huge toms though and weigh a ton on there.

How much did you pick them up for? They look in pretty good condition. More toms!!!

Any recent pictures since you got the kit? The date stamp on the photos shows 1998...

Sweet deal and look like a lot of fun...enjoy them!

My guess on the tom sizes are 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 18.

I don't know about that, those things look huge, and the floor toms look like 18 and 20. Lets hear what arthurk says.

The camera date stamp is wrong. They were taken yesterday. The sizes are 8" x 8" X-Tras Series Tom Tom (and Hard Case)
10" x 8" X-Tras Series Tom Tom (and Hard Case)
12" x 11" X-Tras Series Tom Tom (and Hard Case)
13" x 12" X-Tras Series Tom Tom (and Hard Case)
14" x 13" X-Tras Series Tom Tom (and Hard Case)
15" x 14" X-Tras Series Tom Tom (and Hard Case)
16" x 16" Floor Tom Tom (and Hard Case)
18" x 16" Floor Tom Tom (and Hard Case)
2- 24" x 16" X-Tras Series Bass Drums (and Hard Cases)
14" x 6-1/2" Powerline Snare Drum (and Hard Case). They are the extra series, so the toms are bigger. It actually came with 6 more cymbal stands, but they aren't in the pictures. Also, the throne, hihats, ride, all cases, pedals, everything for $1500. Some idiot on ebay wanted 5k for the old Lars sig kit, so this was a much better deal. The guy who I bought them from was the original owner since 1983. I already play big crashes, 20" A series, so they go along well with these beasts. I am going to do an open stage for fun and play all AC/DC and at the last song play a Rush song to wail on them. ha ha ha!
