Default Pearl session customs, 18,12,14

Well, here they are! sorry about the picture quality, i took them on my phone.

sizes are 18x14, 14x14, and 12x9, and the snare is 14x5. the two toms have coated ambassadors and on the bass is a ps3. i am in the process of making my own snare so for the time being im using the old stage custom which more or less does the job!

As for cymbals i am replacing most of them bit by bit (when i can get the money), the k dry ride will be replaced by a K light ride with rivets, the solar (with rivets) will be replaced by a spacial dry ride, and the hats by some 13" k lights. Thats the plan anyway!

Very nice, tight setup. I am a sucker for natural finish and it looks great on these bop kits.

Your cymbal plan seems good; I'm sure you'll have no problem getting rid of the K dry ride.

I saw where the Big Dog pedals were very favorably reviewed recently. How do you like the kick pedal?

Nice setup. It's remarkably similar to my own setup, except with slightly smaller drums, and it looks really comfy. What do you think of the big dog pedal? Keep us posted on those updates.

Thanks for your comments - yeah i really like the pedal, i first tired one at school and loved it, the response is great and its a nice sturdy piece of kit.

Im really pleased with the setup, the drums sound fantastic, really resonant and pure. Looking forward to getting some new pies and getting the snare done and then it will be perfect.

I havent, no. I did try out a Traps kit in a store once that had all big dog hardware but i cant remember much about it sorry! But yeah like i said i love the pedal, ive been experimenting with two different beaters, at the moment im using the one that came with the padal as opposed to the one in the second pic.

Man, you have like the exact set I want. The sizes, cymbal setup, dang. That with some k's all around and a black beauty would be the perfect set for me. I'm envious.

Haha i hear you - a Black Beauty would be the icing on the cake, but at the moment im trying to focus on cymbals. Im close to closing a deal on a 20" K light ride, so ill stick some rivets in it and ill be making progress!

In the not too distant future id like to find a 60s vintage ludwig 400, just for the sound more than anything else lol but we'll see what happens.

And by the way, thank you very much for all your kind comments.

Uuuuh! I didn`t know that there`s an 18" Pearl Session bass drum. Which kind of Sessions are these? The birch or the maple version?

Really nice set-up indeed, looks comfortable! How do you like your Stage Custom Nouveau snare drum? I think I`d be greatly happy with it.

Karl

Thanks for the replys!

Karl - I didnt realise there was one either lol but i came accross it in my local shop and fell in love! they are the all maple shells which sound truly amazing! i like the stage custom snare but i will have to part with it when i sell my old stage customs, so ill be on the search lol

Citizen insane - cheers i love the finish too, im another sucker for a natural finish!

Tylerdrums109 - the k light ride is a 20" second hand for about 60, and i have had some experience with riveting, so it should be fine. but your right, they do sound amazing!

Cheers guys.
