Default New drum set

So I have been wanting for a very long time to buy a new set. The set I play now is a beginner set and the only one i've ever owned, I've been playing for about 4 years so I think it is time to upgrade. I've already decided that I want a Sonor 3007.

The problem is that I started college last year and it really took a toll on my drumming. I was only able to play once a week at most, because I couldn't bring my set to school because it would be too loud. I don't really have a ton of money and really need to save up to afford the Sonor. So I was thinking about possibly buying an electronic set instead so that I could play in my dorm.

So should I buy the Sonor that I've been wanting for a while, but only be able to play it at most once a week. Or buy an electronic set that I could play anytime, and possibly save a little money? There is no way I could afford both and I don't really want to settle for a cheaper acoustic set, and if I bought the electronic set it may be another year before I would be able to buy the Sonor.

well an electronic kit is going to be pretty expensive. maybe more than the sonor. you could always get a practice pad kit. they aren't too expensive. i've got one and it works great when i'm at my moms house visiting and she doesn't want to hear the loud noise of a real kit.
