Default JNSH6000 Hi Hat machine any good??

Hi all...

I just bought my first pack of cymbals, and now im shopping for a good yet affordable hi hat machine.

I found this Janus model that i really liked, despite the fact that the pedal is huge and long.

Anyone has anything good or bad to say about it???

Janus JNSH6000 model

THANKS! I appreciate any comments.

A high hat machine?? Im confused... Are you just talking about a regular hi-hat stand?

Try DW, Pearl, Tama Ircon Cobra for starters. Those are more higher ends but its a start...

Are you talking about that hihat-double pedal thingy?
Because if you are, I'm guessing, it should be really uncomfortable to change from hh mode to dp mode and it could take some time.
I don't think it's the best idea, but I don't know much.
Ask the hardware "geeks" like Gruntersdad, he knows A freakin' LOT

I apologize........i did a verbatim translation of the term for hi hat stand in my native language to english. Here the hi hat stand would be called a machine, because its not a "stand still" stand, it actually has moving parts, so, its a "machine"! laughs...

Yes, i was talking about a hi-hat stand.

Iron Cobras are EXTREMELLY pricey here. DW are non existent, because of the absurd price. You could get a good car with the money you'd pay for them!

This Janus model is at least twice the price for a medium priced Mapex hi hat stand.

THe sales guy told me this model is excellent because its hidraulic and has four chain mechanisim, and its more responsive because of that (and has 2 legs only, making it easir for double pedal in the future!). His comments are true or its just snake oil talk/?

Gruntersdad? Ill try to PM him!!

Well, now that I clarified my mistake ("machine"), could someone please comment about the Mapex JN-SH6000 Ergo Hi-Hat Janus????

I really liked it, but im still ignorant as far as evaluating a good hardware from a crappy one, so i need some counseling about this purchase??

I can get some Mapex hi hat stands for a lot cheaper. The janus model is considerably better or its just the salesperson trying to take advantage on me???

Id REALLY appreciatte some comments!

THANKS!

You don't need it. Go for the regular Mapex pedal. The more expensive stands are useless unless you have extra cash and are in the process or trying to make your drums perfect.
