Default New Peter Erskine stick bag

Does anyone know when the new Peter Erskine Stand Along Stick bag is going to hit stores? It's through DW and i am really excited about it but i've been watching for it for months and I haven't found it on any other sites other than DW.

I have the Peter Erskine Stickbag for some years and don't know, how i could have lived before without one. It's so easy to set up and fits in every place. Was distributed by Yamaha.

Don't see the need of this metallic stand with the new one....

I see the need for the stand either. It just looks like it adds more weight. Do you have any idea when it is to be released?

I thought this bag was already out via DW. Peter presented it at NAMM, I believe, and it's been several months since.

Bernhard's right: the original bag was made by Yamaha, but was quickly discontinued (sadly) once Peter jumped ship to DW.

I guess the easiest thing to do would be to give DW a call and ask them directly. I want to get one, too--I saw Jason Marsalis use one in 2003, I believe, and it was super functional. By the time I went to get one, Yamaha had discontinued it and DW had yet to refashion it. At least it is back again!

Peter told me about this during the winter of '07...he thought it would be available in very early '08, but I can't find it anywhere other than on the DW site. It breaks my heart, because it looks really awesome, especially for the musical theatre dates I have.

What is the difference between the old one and the new one?

from the pictures it looks like the only difference is the way they are kept up.

the new one utilizes a metal stand
whereas the older one looks like something folds out to make it stand.

correct me if im wrong.
