which heads for beechwood kit?

i've used EC2 clears and they're too plasticy for my taste, and too thick.

i have G2 coated now and they're fine, but i may revert to clears again for a little more punch.

what suggestions might you all have? G1 clears? would they be too ringy? G2 clears then? something else entirely? not stuck on Evans, btw...

G2 clears over G1's are probably the most common combination these days. Many of the pros use this. Try it out, I doubt you will be disappointed.

I have a beechwood kit...right now I have coated all around (toms of course).
10" coated ambassador, 12,14 coated emperor. Snare, coated emperor.
I'm due for a change, I'm going for clears on the toms. What do you have on your beechwood snare? I' m thinking ambassador this time around.
