yep - voted for bosnia :) 70% of the countries aren't taking it seriously this year, which is how it should be, lol. Greece are winning though, damn. Its all politics, terry wogan is the only thing that makes it half bearable.

Yep. It's pretty much the Finnish equivalent of Manowar.

I was loving the Battleaxes. My mate and I were creased up watching that. We thought it was brilliant.

I heard a lot of Dio in that too.

I was reading something about one of the directors of eurovision expressing his displeasure at Terry Wogan's attitude to the thing; he seemed to expect the UK to take the thing seriously.
Maybe it's time for the West to start cutting the funding...

I agree. The more seriously you take it, the worse your song will be and the worse it will go.

yeah... my thoughts exactly - they can make it the eastern-eurovision song contest and then everyone will be happy. oh no, there wouldnt be a competition at all. hahah

hope this doesnt get too political.

finland's entry was good fun, but i couldnt help thinking they were feeding on lordi's success a bit.

Russia took it very seriously though. That ice-skater is an olympic gold medalist in figure skating and that violin the other guy was playing is a real Stradivarius. And they won. I think this only proves one thing: Sweden should've had a Stradivarius instead of a glitter covered microphone. Then we might've won.

Well let's say that since the Easten-Bloc countries joined Eurovision just over a decade ago, it has stopped being about the songs and now it's purely political. There is an historical precedent - we never vote for France and France never vote for us (or speak in English for that matter) but that rivalry is centuries old. Now that all the Eastern-Bloc countries have entered, all the votes will go to Eastern Europe. That's not a political judgment, just the truth.
