Default What are you too stuborn to do?

Okay, this may be complete madness but here it goes anyway...

Upon chatting with others about films, if "Wizard of Oz" comes up I admit to people I've never seen it. They gasp in shock & horror before telling me I just MUST see this movie.

I'm 28 years old...I've never seen it. Now it's just become a thing of stubborness...just because people keep telling me to watch it & how my life won't be complete without it...I refuse to watch it. And I rather enjoy telling people about it, just to see their face.

What are you too stubborn to do? Just so curious....

I've never seen "It's a Wonderful Life" or "The Nutcracker" and every year my wife says she is going to make me watch them, but I'm stubbornly holding out.

I am to stubborn to look at all those ridiculous "Internet Memes" and find them funny, there just to retarded. All my friends tell me to go look at these things, but I just cant bring myself to like them. What is so funny about a lame parody of 300 or Snakes on A Plane, a picture of a guy getting hurt with the words "owned" written under them, or some stupid picture of an owl saying ORLY? (the most annoying one of them all.)

I refuse to enjoy them, or make them for that matter.

I am too stubborn to reply to this thread; I absolutely refuse, won't happen, forget it.

Oh damn......

Anyway, the Wizard of Oz and It's a Wonderful Life are indeed great movies.

It's a Wonderful Life still makes me shed a tear when Clarence gets his wings and George avoids arrest, but not having seen it, that reference is meaningless to you.

Unless you just don't like those genres of movies, you really are doing yourself a disservice by missing out on them.

I'm too stubborn to allow myself to play the drums "correctly," whatever that means.
I'm too stubborn to even consider playing "standards," unless I'm really getting paid well to do so.
I'm too stubborn to consider the crap they make in North Carolina barbeque.
I'm too stubborn to consider that plastic drums are as good as wood drums.
I'm too stubborn to consider that a metal snare drum is as good as a wood snare drum.
I'm to stubborn to consider M&Ms without peanuts to actually be M&Ms. No way.

I'm stubborn when it comes to television shows. It takes me a while to come around and give them a chance. For years, everybody was telling me how great Arrested Development and Curb Your Enthusiasm are. I finally gave them a chance, and now they're my favorite shows.

I refuse to understand just what is so compelling about the music of The Presets and the ludicrously-named Potbelleez. It's just bog-standard club shite to me.

It is sheer madness that A.D. was taken off the air. Finally a show that agrees with Jason Bateman & doesn't have a laugh track. It was brilliance.

My sister-in-law is trying to get me to watch her DVD's of Veronica Mars. I had them for 3 months & never watched a single episode. Not really my stubborness...more like my lazyness.

I heard that Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" and the "Wizard of Oz" match up. It's kind of weird. They never really meant to do that.

I'm to stubborn to use just one base drum or watch "Lost and "Heroes". Are they even still on television.

I am too stubborn to enjoy play or listen to any metal music, even though my friends like it. I respect the drummers but do not enjoy the music. I am also too stubborn just to enjoy something because a legend make it, face it, some really great drummers start playing wierd things as there career progresses but many people still go out of their way to aggressivly defend it.
And don't watch Wizard of Oz I saw it when I was six and hated it then. And kickass Dwight quote, we could all use more Dwight. Like this week when he hooked up with/completly ditched that female basketball player, that was epic.

Heh...thanks for the thumbs up. I've been an Office fan since it first came out. Even during the not-so-funny awkward first episodes. I kept telling everyone it would be a hit. It was like Noah predicting rain. But...alas...it rained! :)

I'm too stubborn to change the name of Buddy Rich to Duke Ellington in my quote, although I am 100% aware that it was Duke Ellingtion who originally came up with the quote..

Vernors ginger ale, America's oldest soft drink. It's the best and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

So what is it about the Ginger Ale? Bubbly? Refreshing? Delicious? The fact it has the word "Ale" in it?

Ginger Ale is a godly drink I have been drinking regularly for about a year, It has a refreshing and crisp flavor, with a smooth after taste. (not a syrupy one like coke has) It reminds me of prite with more flavor and richness. And the companies that make them don't do little gimmicky things with their soft drinks. They just make good, honest ginger ale. I have yet to try Vernors but my favorite brand of Ginger Ale is currently Shweppes.
