Default iron cobra old version VS new version

I see on the Tama site they have 'upgraded' the Iron Cobra pedals, is this a new thing? didn't see it coming! How do they compare with the old Iron Cobra Pedal?

I don't know this for a fact, it might have been another pedal. But I think the new ones have the spring under the foot board or something.

I also noticed this. Im not sure whatsoever buy my guess is it might be a little more responsive, or something with the chain or spring.

I think that the coil is under the footboard now, and the housing for the bearing and axel are improved. I know this because cobras used to interest me.

Many firms evolve parts when they find design flaws.

My old Pearl Eliminators had internal grub screws at the hinge between board and plate. But they were forever working loose until the inevitable happened and I lost one. The replacement footboard and the new Eliminator double I have as a back-up, now have larger bolts at the hinge.

I just wish the 4 tiny little hex head screws that hold the grip plate to the footboard wouldn't keep working loose!

It's not a change, it's an evolution.

:-)

has it got a red P and some numbers on the side?
if so it is the new one, if not it is the old one. it sounds to me like it's the old one.
it is a power glide right?
