Default Bass Drum pedal and hi hat for drummer with wandering feet

I have some nerve damage in my lower extremities and as a result have difficulty keeping my feet in place on the BD pedal and hihat. Does anyone know of a bd pedal and hihat that have "sides" or some other mechanism to keep feet in place?

Interesting. Fourstringdrums posts here and has a site called www.handidrummed.com and he could help you.

I don't know of anything like that from a manufacturer, but he might. I am good at modifying hardware and I am certain I could modify existing pedals for this purpose. What kinds of pedals do you have?

Velcro straps might work, but they'd be a pain to put on and off. Why just not dedicate some shoes to the set and put Velcro on them and the pedals? The drawback is that you wouldn't be able to slide your feet over the pedal as needed, but they would likely stop someone's foot from sliding off.

I suggest picking up some elastic all-purpose straps with velcro on them. You can leave them around your footboard on the pedal and quickly pull the elastic over your feet. I'm fairly confident that they can keep your feet in place. Playing over them wouldnt be hard either.
