Default Rick Van Horn

Rick is no longer with Modern Drummer. Word around the campfire is that he got canned. I know of several BIG-TIME pro drummers who have had problems with him in the past and I believe it may have had something to do with that.

Any info?

Not familiar with him. What exactly was his role on the staff?

He was the senior editor. I spoke with him a few times before my site had a small write up in the Jan 05 issue of MD.

Ya, he was the chief editor of MD, and also the master of ceremonies at all MD festivals. Surprised he got canned. I thought he was very close to the 'family'.
