Default Help me choose a kit

Hi guys,

Well basically, i've got/bringing together enough money for a decent kit, what do you suggest

Budget's around £600-£800, hardware is preferable, but i dont mind getting shells.

I've looked at:

Sonor Force 3007:

24x17.5
12x9
14x14
16x16
14x6.5

Premier Artist Maple:

24x18
13x10
16x16
14x6.5 Brass

Yamaha Tour Custom Moto-X:

24x17
12x9
16x16
14x7

Mapex Pro M:

24x18
13x9
16x16
18x16
14x6.5

I'm open to other suggestions. All and any help would be great.

Dave

Btw, none of my local shops have good kits that im able to play, so im relying on input.

I have Renowns, but was very close to the Sonor 3007. Some of your choices aren't equal, meaning you have listed some with 2 floor toms, some with one. With your budget being about 1000.00 in USD you are about right for the Sonor 3007 shell pack and a little short for the Renowns unless you buy used as I did. I can't comment on the others listed since I have done no research on those.

Things are a lil bit cheaper over here, on my budget i could get any of those, giving a month or two. The Renown shell pack that im looking at is £830 and i could buy the Sonor for £700.

I gotta start writing threads clearly.

Hey dave.
I recently purchased the sonor force 3007..
I honestly know the difference between the highest end kits and the lower ones and knowing this i still don't think i would trade mine for anything.. just my opinion..

The 3007 has fulfilled my needs from a kit.. any questions feel free to ask cause I don't know what to say but 'WOW'

Oh and i see you like the 24'' bass drums.. i would recommend the 22'', it is so loud, punchy, full and amazing (not to mention, versatile)!

Good luck with your purchase!

Nick

After due consideration, Sonor deffiantly, i'll get 12 13 16 22 and change it to 13 16 22. I can't wait. And your right 5.5.

Thanks you guys
Dave
