I would say go to MFB's house and try his Italian made drums.

Good luck finding me in July. God knows where I'll be or what I'll be doing. But I'll probably be further North than I usually am come September.
I need to do some work to my drums right now. A bit of bearing edge re-sealing, polishing out the dents and hardware maintenance. They've had a VERY tough eight months or so... Alternatively, you could try my Swiss, Turkish and Canadian cymbal collection... /Tongue in Cheek. |

I live in Edinburgh, well I won't in July but I might be there. There's a cool drum shop, not an awful lot less. Though I would recommend going to "the jazz bar". There's a great drummer plays there Tuesdays and Thursdays.

In London Denmark Street ('Tin Pan Alley' as it was known in the 60s as the centre of the sheet music industry) would be well worth a visit. Well, there's only two drum shops there now and both v small, but although I'm not a guitarist the guitar shops are v interesting - lots of rare and vintage stuff. The music book/video shop is quite good too. Then go for a cup of tea over the road in the jazz music shop/cafe on the first floor of Foyles bookshop. I live nearby and its my favourite London afternoon. Afterwards you can walk down to Footes shop in Golden Square through Soho.
