Default R.I.P Mike Smith of The Dave Clark 5

Some of us older guy's I'm sure remember him and the Dave Clark 5

Mike Smith, the lead singer and keyboard player of The Dave Clark Five, one of the premier bands to emerge during the 1960's "British Invasion", died today from pneumonia at Stoke Mandeville Hospital outside of London. His devoted wife, Arlene, who is known as Charlie, was by his side. Smith was 64 years old.

Hey 2bsticks...

Actually, he died back on Feb. 28th, about 10 days ago, though it IS a tragic loss for the music industry, ESPECIALLY, since he was just about to be inducted, with his Dave Clark 5 mates, into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!

Heavy hearts we ALL have! :-(

RIP Mike Smith.
