Default Show off your Natural Finished kits!

I've loved the look of bare wood on drums for a long time. I would love to see your collection of natural finish drums! Any wood goes, I'd really like to see some of the more exotic woods!!

Here's my kit, it's maple and its got a natural finish! Let me know what you think and post your kit too!

I have it set up two different ways, the latter few pictures is how I have it set up now, no left of right hand bias.

The pictures are coming out massive for some reason on my screen, you may have to zoom out to see them, sorry!

That's a great looking kit, & a very interesting setup too :)

There is an existing thread dedicated to natural finish drums already in the forum http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=73574

but as I'm here ;)

1/ Solid santos rosewood

2/ Solid padauk

3/ Solid American walnut

3/ Solid beech & ovangkol

Thanks, not really sure I think late 30's to late 40's, either way it's hard to beat that old Mahogany tone.

Figures your name is Headshrinker. The fact that you actually have a shrunken head hanging from your kit is awesome.

B/S Niles bage, can't lock down there year -last time I researched it I thought about a 79-80,but I couldn't locate any scans of early 80's Slingerland catalogs to get better insight. It was used to record Vinyl Confessions ('82) and Drastic Measures ('83) and judging by released years it well likely could be an '81.

I'd assume 70s-80s too. I have the '77 and '79 catalogs on .pdf (along with having a kit from 1978) and I think you're right. I miss that era of drum making.
