...I love the Genistas.
I let a white marine pearl four piece kit slip through my fingers once. It is number one on my "ones that got away" list. That is a very nice kit that you have there. Barry

I'm with Aydee, that is a sexy looking kit! Dig the finish and nice place to set them up for pictures, too. What cymbals are you running on there?

Here's my old APK how it looked about 5/6 years ago...
![]() When I bought it second hand 17 years ago, it was originally white. I found the 8" & 10" toms in an old music store, but they were a different shade of white. So I sprayed the whole kit VW orange. And this is what it looked like right up until I sold it last month. Got some Cadbury purple wrap from drumwraps.co.uk.

Figure 02, I have this same series Premier and have enjoyed playing them. I got mine at a really great price off of EBAY- I was going to use it as a back up or practice kit and I liked it so much that it's all I use now. I sold my other kit. I have thought about selling my DW 9000s and going with the Iron Cobras like you have. I played the strap drive version of the ICs and loved the way they felt.
I like the way you have your kit set up. |

This is my Premier Cabria Exclusive in Topaz. Fusion sizes.
The Snare is a Premier Modern Classic 14 x 5.5 in birch. The cymbals are Meinl MCS. Heads:- Bass - Clear Powerstroke 3 batter and stock reso Snare - coated Powerstroke 3 over stock reso Toms are all Evans G2 over G1 There's a mix of hardware including a Big Dog snare stand and the IC pedal. For an entry level kit I think it looks and sounds pretty good. |

The Yellow Cab set needs a sticker on the front of the bass drum like the side of a cab door.
2.50 for the first mile 1.00 for every 1/7th mile after that.

Hope I'm not too late!
Just about to leave town for a bit and thought I'd make my first post. Here lies my beloved first kit, a Premier Artist Maple in Amber. Rescued from a pawn shop and slowly being restored as time permits. 22" x 18" Bass, 16" x 16" Floor Tom, 14" x 5.5" Snare, 12" x 9" Mounted Tom, Zildjian Cymbals Thanks for looking! Questions, comments, and tips all greatly appreciated : )

So here's one of mine :-) Well ..... it's actually 2 kits. These are Limited Edition Union Jack Wrap Artist Maples from the late 90's.
I sold 1 of them but have since picked up the newer "Birch" version form 2006 with the Genista style lugs ..... pretty sweet, you can see a photo of it on Mike Dolbears site from the 2006 NAMM show. |

Oh Hells yeah. The only thing a Union Jack looks better on is the roof of a Mini. And maybe a Strat...

Thanks!!! The Artist Maple Series was probably one of the most under rated kits out there which is unfortunate. The guy I sold 1 of the UJ kits to, who lives in Canada, has done nothing but RAVE about how the Toms sound & how easy they are to tune.
It's really nice to see that there are still people out there who appreciate Premier despite the way they are (or should I say .... are not) running their business these days, especially when it comes to setting up a new U.S. Distributor ....... such a shame!!! There has been, & continues to be, much frustration here in the U.S. that they don't seem to care about the customers over here who remain loyal to them .... though how long will that last? |
