Default My favorite snare ever!

i've owned it for a while now but was too busy playing it so i didn't take pictures. But now thanks to a nasty shoulder injury a have more time to share and brag!

So, I asked frank at Unix for a 13'' snare with lots of volume, plenty of attack, cutting rimshot and fundamental low-end. We ended up with a 13''x6.5'' 1/2'' thick Bubinga concept.
I was more than satisfied when i test ran the thing, it is exactly in the spectrum i wanted. It is articulate at every levels. The rimshots are insane, i had Thomas Haake snare sound in mind and i got something even better, the pics:

The finish is immaculate, i have to control myself not to order a full kit yet!

Les snares de François sont tout à fait remarquable. Le tient ne fait pas exception, il est splendide et je ferais bien quelques rudiments dessus.

Combien le tout revient si ça te dérange pas de l'dire ?

Bonne soirée

He posted in English, could you reply in English?

Great looking snare. When did you get it? Are you able to get any sound samples?

Awesome, can't complain about a nice Unix like that one. Enjoy it! Oh, and post some sound clips.

I got it just before christmas, I'll work on sound clip soon, i got the gear handy, i'm just missing my right arm right now.

I'll translate minddrummers post : He was explaining to me the masterplan by which we french people will soon take over the world and enslave all other linguistic communities for our drumming needs! And he wanted to know how much the snare was :)

I know but he's french canadian just like me so...

If he had posted his thread in french first, obviously you would have said to him to post in english !!!!

I've said, if you want me to translate words for words;

Frank snares drums are astonishing and yours is no exception, it's very beautiful and I wouldn't mind doing some rudiments on it.

How much it went if you dont mind saying.

Good evening

Glad now, feel relieved ???

Mind_drummer you kill me man!

But back to the topic at hand......that looks like a very nice snare and I can imagine it's got one heck of a nice pop to it! Congratulations!

What a great piece of art!! And a great sound to be searching for.

I have been secretly planning myself to get a new snare and had my eyes on a Black Panther or two and also the DW collectors series. After this thread (and several others like it) and a trip to Unix's web site, all prior considerations have been relegated to "also rans." Unix, you are on notice. I'm coming and my next drum will be a Unix snare.
