Default My Saturn Set Up

Hey guys - I get asked a lot so I thought so show my set up. I have a Saturn 7pc in Mango Burst. It started off as a Studio config and I just added a 8" tom to it.

This is my current set up it's always changing. I still want to add a couple more cymbals but that'll come a little later.

8/10/12/14/16 toms. 22x18 BD. 14x5.5 SD. 10" Steel Snare off to the side (LOVE that thing!) and a mix of Zildjian A Customs and K Customs.

Enjoy!

I forgot to ask, are those Futz pedals any good? I really can't imagine those feeling like real pedals...

I really like them actually. I wouldn't say they "feel" like real pedals but they certianly help your playing. To play articulately and accurately, it takes a little more effort regardless of how much tension you put on them. So if you work up paradiddles in the Futz, your "normal" playing on the BDs seems much easier.

Man, Shane, you are one lucky dude!

I've always liked 3 up 2 down set ups.

The finish is just as delicious as the fruit itself!
Haha...nice kit, is that a 14" A Custom Hi-hat? Are those heavy, how is it feel-wise?

Great playground...

Really?
mhh...thanks, I`m a light cymbals lover personally...so a top hat which is over 1000 grams and a bottom hi-hat cymbal with 1200 grams or more I usually consider as heavy...for myself. haha...

I still don`t know much about A Customs and especially not about the hi-hats...

Hey Karl! Those are 14" A Customer Mastersounds. The bottom cymbal is rippled for a better "bite" and foot sound. My next...or should I say second pair will be 13" K Custom Hybrids.

Very nice. I love the color.

I have two Futz pedals and you're right, it does take some effort to play them correctly. I actually can't do most of what I usually do with my left foot on them yet. My right foot, I just use the spring tension to hopefully strengthen the muscles in my foot that don't want to work at the moment.

Very Nice, I may add the 14" ft to my Saturn. That color looks pretty sharp. How do you like the way the Saturn's project?? I am thinking of putting coated heads on the toms?
