did buddy rich ever use vic firth br sticks,cappella anyone?

of all the pictures and such ive seen of buddy ,ive never seen him with those white,heavy vic firth sticks with the odd beads,can anyone verify if he used sticks made by a company called cappella?all the pics of buddy seem to confirm this,as they look similar,a sort of 5a,5b ish stick with long beads or acorns if you like,this company made sticks for krupa too? and has someone been using this name in the states and got into a law situation, for remaking them? cheers malcolm

I remember Ludwig had a stick model that had a similar taper and tip to the VF "Buddy" model.
The VF is way fatter though, and the Ludwig had a more gradual taper.

I'm not anywhere near an expert on Buddy, but, I can't remember ever seeing a pic of him that had his sticks without an 'olive' type tip...you know, a more traditional tip.

He may have played that Ludwig stick when he was with them.

As for the VF, it's a cool stick even if Buddy never played one exactly like it.
The nylon tip version is cool too.
