What's your "day" job?

I'm an all-around computer geek for a teaching hospital here. If it has lights and buttons, we deal with it. My Dad and I have a DJ business, but these days I just deal with buying/repairing gear. I'm weighing the idea of opening up my home studio to other people later on, but I'm not sure if I want to do that.

I'm a locksmith. Every 5 or so weeks I get afterhours work, which is how my drumming gear is financed. :P

I'm a Field Service Engineer for Laser, Water jet, and Grinding CNC's. I travel for my job, so I can only play my kit on the weekends at a 24hr climate controlled storage facility.

I'm a contract Software Engineer. Currently working on a temperature monitoring project, but also doing some IPhone development in my spare time (much more fun!).

This probably explains my tendancy to over-think and over-analyse things, including drum technique.

Just jumped out of academia and back into project management. I am a project manager in an IT project management office for a $1.9 billion project. After two weeks of being overwhelmed, I am starting to find my feet. Maybe, just maybe I will be able to drum a bit this weekend.

TIG MIG welder fabricator, works out good on making some custom drum components. I have been assembling Bronze and stainless steel statues for over 19 years, we are also dabbling in aluminum. I have worked in a sheet metal fabrication shop. For the most part I really like what I do because every piece is different and has its own set of challenges and some are memorials for soldiers, firefighters, political figures and some are freaking huge.

Vroke hustler on a paper machine in a pulp mill, not bad, $30 an hour to work for half of my 12 hour shifts, weird shift schedule but it lets me jam lots, and the cash definitely finances my drum habbit. At least until my fiance finds out what it all really costs :P
