Default Jason's Export...

Finally got a pic up of my set (more will come soon!) with our new digital camera!

I've been playing for 6 years now, and I play hip-hop, gospel, rock, and many other styles.

My set is a Pearl Export in Mirror Chrome finish. This was given to me in 2006 as a combined birthday and Christmas present. I'm still in love with it! Originally, it was a 6 piece kit with the 13'' rack tom, but I decided to leave it out for a while until I really need it. I'm happier with a 5 piece, or better yet a 6 piece with an 8" rack tom would be cool! Also, I use to have a PDP double pedal that I used for 3 years, but I just seemed to get tired of it. I hate it when drummers use TOOOO much unneccesary double bass and "galloping".

This kit means a lot to me, because I've used the majority of my money from working to spend on this. I all I need is another crash and ride to replace, and then I'll be all done...I think.

Here's the specs:

Drumset- Pearl Export in Mirror Chrome Finish (Poplar Wood)
-10"x8" rack tom
-12'x9" rack tom
-13"x10" rack tom (not shown or used)
-16"x16" floor tom
-14"x5 1/2" snare drum
-22"x18" bass drum

Cymbals
-13" A Mastersound Zildjian Hi-Hats
-10" A Zildjian Splash
-Old 16" Paiste Whatever (I don't know!)
-16" Wuhan China
-Old 20" Zildjian Whatever (I don't know again!)
- 16'' A Zildjian Fast Crash

Hardware
All Pearl except for cymbal boom stand (PDP).

Heads
-Evans EC2 Clears on tom batters
-Aquarian Superkick II's on kick batter
-Stock heads on snare and stock heads on the resonant side of toms

Miscellaneous
-iPod 2nd Generation 2G (Silver)
- Sony Isolation Headphones(These are the BEST!)
-Vater Earplugs
-6" HQ Practice Pad

Cool. Your snare is way overdue for a head change, but I like your setup, nice cymbal selections. Any more pics of the Paiste? Maybe it's a formula 602, looks the right color.

Yeah, my snare head really sucks.
You were right about the Paiste, it is a Formula 602.
But I need to find out about that 20" Zildjian Ride...
I'll post pictures of it tommarow.

Don't get rid of that Paiste. 602's are hard to come by, especially the first run and they're very nice.

That Zildjian looks like a 70's/80's Zildjian A. Depending on the condition, those are really rather nice as well. Old doesn't mean bad at all, often the opposite is true.

I thought they were acrylic at first and then realized that it was just a chrome wrap and they're exports (doh). A very clean looking setup, and as MFB said, older isn't always bad but sometimes better.

Well let's put it this way... if you do ever decide to sell the 602, you know where to find me. It's a great cymbal!

The A splash is wicked. I got it at Guitar Center 2 years ago for $10, even though it was used. What a great deal that was!
