Default New Room, More Drumset!

I have a bit more space in this room than my previous one, so I have the full 7 piece set up, AND I can play with sticks!! (watch for a youtube vid soon).

Along with this newfound space and freedom to use sticks comes experimentation with cymbal setups. I have a pretty decent collection (5 rides, 7 crashes, ect.), so I've been switching stuff on and off at will.

For instance, you'll see I have two horribly cracked cymbals up right now - a Zildjian crash on the far left (drummer's perspective) and a Sabian XS ride with a half-cracked bell, both acquired from my drummer roomate who broke them and didn't want 'em anymore. They're fun becuase they die so quickly and produce some weird white noise sounds.

overhead.. the tambourine is a new aquisition, and I love it! (Great for those hip-hop 8th notes)

here you see: the cracked sabian ride, a K Custom Hybrid ride, and a piggyback/stack thing, with a Wuhan traditional 16" on top of a '70s era 20" A Zildjian ride. It has the greatest "cawwwww" white noise sound I've ever heard!

And here you see: the cracked A Zildjian crash, a late 70s 18" A Zildjian crash, a 10" A Custom splash on the second snare for hand clap and white noise effects, and the hihats are a combination with a K Custom Session top hat with a Paiste 2002 Sound Edge bottom hat.

Hope you liked what you saw!

The kit is a 2003 Mapex Saturn Pro 6-pc, with 10-12-14-16 toms and a 20" bass drum. Then I have a snare from my old kit as the secondary one.

And here's a vid of me playing it from earlier tonight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZIJZqoPYUM
