Here is my STAGESTAR.
I love this kit and its 14 X 18" bass drum! I can't believe the sound.
The STAGESTAR was an entry level kit that just plain GOT IT RIGHT!
I have played kits that cost three times as much that didn't sound this good! Its perfect for Jazz, Fusion, and Light Rock.
I made a two inch riser for the bass so that I could use my vintage 80s Tama pedal. These kits came with a modified (kid sized) foot pedal for the 18" bass.
I put an SK II on the bass and Aqurain Studio-X coated batters on the toms. I did some secret tricks to the stock snare.
It is a Warm, Fuzzy sounding kit.

5.5x14 main and 5x12 side snare
I recently added a Pork Pie Big Black 6.5x14 Snare (not pictured)
Love that kit! I have a Starclassic Performer and they're fantastic. I'm also an advocate of the single mounted tom with two big floor toms approach. Very enticing setup indeed (from my perspective anyhoo).

Here's my 2006 Starclassic Performer in Dark Cherry Fade.

Sizes:
8-10-12-13-14-22

The set up on this kit is constantly changing. Over the last year or so I have added a nice K ride, a few Zildjian A crashes and 14" Mastersound hats (the 16" hats pictured are now played on my Renown), and Zildjian 12" Special Recording hats with a DW auxillary setup.

Currently I have 2 up (8 and 10) and 2 down (12 and 14).

The 8" and 13" were add-ons to the kit. I'm looking for a 16" to complete it. I would be willing to trade the 13" and some cash or gear for a 16".

Hello People,

I am currently looking into buying a TAMA Birch, but I want to listen to or watch a video of clear sound of Birch sound on a TAMA. Does any one have know of a link to guide me into the right direction?I have played Maple most of the time.

A few poplar, but like just any lower end kits (Poplar, not Maple), they were hard to tune and never kept it.. But that was not the point, I like my maple but I saw a nice diamond dust Tama Birch and like it, But skeptic of sound, any suggestions can help..

13 x 5.5 Black Panther Maple snare in black stain. Tama First Chair throne and vintage 80's Tama bass pedal. (Was once the slave for a double pedal)

Hello everyone,
I am posting another picture of my Tama, I did some dark filling on the background to bring out the image. I went over the sides on some of the cymbals and made them look broken.. But they are not. besides they are not cheap so is not worth abusing any of these precious cymbals..
