...more of the same
sort of. My 15x13" tom came in today. I was very surprised at how quickly it got here, as I ordered it a little more than a month ago. On the one hand, I am happy with DW for getting this out to me so quickly, but on the other hand, things must be a little slow in Oxnard. Various pics of my 18x16, 15x13, 13x9" toms with the 14x6" edge snare. 20" aax stage ride, 14" stage hats, 16" stage crash, 18" legacy crash.

Very cool,
Have yo ever been to Oxnard? Things are always slow there

Haha, things can't be THAT slow there! I'm having to wait an extra month to get my kit, which is a simple four-piece with a natural satin oil finish - not anything exotic that requires a lot of extra work. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. If I indeed get the kit in another month, that would still be a pretty fast turnaround time, compared to some of the stories about long waits that I've heard.

One question....since you have the 2 pedals hooked up to the 2 kicks, why use the connector bar for the double pedal? You could get another beater and have both kicks when you use the left pedal.... Just curious... Welcome to the forum!

Here's a quick pic I took tonight. Most cymbals are up (although some are cut off in the pic it seems) the rest are sleeping LOL.

...try as I might, I just can't get comfortable on a five piece kit.
So now I have a franken kit. 20x16 15x13, 13x5" snare, and 12x8" Ludwig rack tom. If I find another 20 or 18" bass drum, I will have yet another franken kit. this is getting silly. Barry

Is nobody of the 30 Neil Peart R30 kit owners on this forum??
It's a very very cool set, and I would like to see somebody else than Neil on that kit :-) Bram

some bad pics of my two DW kits. Both are finishply. The broken glass kit was made in 2003, and the crimson sparkle is 2008.

Hello everyone, rmandelbaum suggested I post here also. I've been lurking a while, checking out your kits and finally settled on this DW. It's a Collectors series, tobacco burst in hard satin over birds eye maple. I had seen other kits on these threads in a similar finish (rmandelbaum's in particular) but the pictures didn't seem to do the color justice. In diffuse ambient light they look stunning. Have had them two days and I'm already planning a 12" mate for the rack tom!
