Default Finally My New Drum Kit

Hey everyone, I finally upgraded from my disaster of drum kit which was a Pearl Target started kit with stock cymbals and hardware, i hated this and it was putting me off drumming and practicing.
A few weeks ago i bought This new Premier Artist Maple kit and am delight with it such a difference from the old kit,
And i got my cymbals today as the delivery was delayed and they are FANTASTIC! I got them at cymbalsonly.com and was very impressed with the service and couldn't recommend them more.

Very nice, though the Bosphorus and Istanbul caught my eye first. What are the specs on those?

Sweet! Definitely an upgrade, and it must sound great. That's a killer practice space, where do you find a music stand like that?

That is a cool music stand. Excellent looking kit, bet it sounds awesome. I'm curious though, I saw one other post where they mentioned it looked like a great practice area, but do you get a lot of reflection off of those walls?

Don't get me wrong, I'm just used to setting my stuff up in a more "dampened" space. I have my kit backed into the corner faceing into the room, and my room is carpeted. I'm just curious. Still learning here folks. Is there a benefit to playing into a wall with hardwood floors?

I just realized that one benefit is that the kick won't slip. :)

Hey man thanks for the reply.
The main reason i have it there is for space issues but it does kill a bit of the kick sound which makes everyone else happy haha.

I love the simplicity of it... And I'd love to hear the bass and kit together- nothing better than just the rhythm section.

Unless they happen to be sitting against the other side of the wall. :)

Do you play in a jazz group or something? Nice standup bass. Is that a Ukelele I see (with f sound holes?), and a Tambura or Saz? Nice collection of instruments.

I have this same kit and I love it. Way better than what the price tag suggests. They will sound even better when you replace the heads. You also have very nice cymbals-CONGRATS!!

Give me your cymbals or I will kill you.

Just kidding. Seriously, a really nice set and a nice collection of instruments to beautify your home.

So, where's the third tom? Or rather, why isn't it on the kit?

Hey dude, simple reason being i would rarely hit the second tom so i have no need to have it on the kit. :)

Owww man you a bad person. You took my ride! I was listening to the 1929 for over a week, then i sent Tony an email to say i ll take it and it just went, i missed it by a couple of hours! Very bad bloke indeed. It's a killer cymbal though, you're very lucky.
Nice kit.

Premier are vastly underrated drums, that's a superb set of tubs you have there. I wanted an Artist Series for the longest time after watching a young drummer (for whom I have GREAT respect) really rip it up on a set of Premier Artist Birch drums. I would happily play and own a set like that; beautiful cymbals and a lovely finish as well. Be proud of those.
