Default dw 5000 single chain

I found randomly a pedal dw 5000 single chain. i'd like to know if there's a difference between dw 5000 double chain and dw 5000 single chain. i mention that i used to play with the dw 5000 double chain. which of them is more smooth?

SINGLE CHAIN

DOUBLE CHAIN

i guess the double chain is smoother... the single chain is kind of generally lighter, i think.

The only difference I've ever noticed in either a single or double chain is the footboard.

With a single chain the footboard "rocks" a little and with the double I notice it holds the footboard flat without any rock to it.

I didn't get very far into that, at 60 pages long, I didn't want to either. I will add that thread was started back in 2004, so some of the info may be obsolete. I don't know, I tried to go to the end, but it wouldn't open.

I've played both, owned a single chain as pictured for 15 years and the thing I noticed like mentioned before was a more solid feel and smoother.
