Default I wouldn't really call this "gear" but...

On the MD Fest '06 DVD (Sat 9/16), did anyone else notice that some of the drummer's hi-hat stands fell over and/or were wobbling around? Ahhhh!! It definetely bugged the crap out of me, and I bet the drummers felt embarressed. I've never seen a drummer in a live concert have his hi-hat fall over.
Of course, I loved every bit of the music, except those kind of little things just bother me. And also, did anyone else catch the drumkey left on Marvin McQuitty's floor tom?

I did notice the stands falling over. You'd think for all the work put into preparation, they'd take care of the stand situation...

Well, just on some of the videos clips that I've seen here on DRUMMERWORLD, Aaron Spears, Bill Stewart, Greg Bissonette, Dave Di Censo, have all had issues with the hi-hats collapsing, tilting over, goin for a walk etc..

..come to think of it, perhaps yes, it is a design flaw which the industry as a whole has yet to address. 20 years ago, Bass drums used to take a stroll, mid performance. Thankfully thats sorted...
