Default heavy bass pedal springs

hey all ,i have a i have a yamaha flying dragon and i had thought i wore out the springs went out and bought 2 different kinds of replacements springs. i crank my tension all the way up and theres still not enough resistance for my liking,can anyone reccomend a a shorter really heavy duty spring for my pedals?

Ace Hardware C-165 - 1/2 X 1 5/8 X 080 Utility exit spring

Two in a pack for about $4

These springs can easily go to 18 lbs on the foot board.
