Default Jeff "Tain" Watts

No Tain thread! I did a search and couldnt find one. I cant believe that, so Im really sorry if I just created the second and it can be subsequently delted if neccessary.
I really dig the way he plays. I first heard him on Black Codes from the Underground, but I also have some stuff he did with Branford Marsalis and I have three of his albums under his name. A really great player. The favorite stuff I have of his is Detained at the Blue Note.

Easily one of my favorite drummers. I'm also surprised. Do you have his records Bar Talk and Citizen Tain ?

I have Citizen Tain, but not Bar Talk. I really like Citizen a lot. Is bar talk something I would dig?

I actually think I like Bar Talk a bit more than Citizen Tain.

Check out "The Dark Keys". It's a Branford trio date with Tain on drums and it is killin'.

I'm big on his album "Watts." It's just so bouncy and fun, I don't know how you couldn't love it.

Really enjoy his stuff with the Marsalis boys, as well as the 'Time is Of the Essence', with drum duties shared between Tain, Elvin and Bill Stewart.

Yes Ma'am.

Also, a friend of mine from days at the music academy is playing sax in his current ensemble...Troy Roberts. Just a scarily good player, and a top guy as well.
