Default recording and singing

i was recording our bands demo the other day.

i played the drums and was listening back to the take when you could hear me making monkey noises.

i hum and sigs and make nosied while playing

i found it very difficult to be quite after realising i was making to much noise

how do you guys stop your self singing when recording drums

Default Re: recording and singing

duct tape??

ball gag???

but seriously - you might be able to gate the drum mics to where your vocalizations don't make it into the mix.

other than that - now that you know about it, practice not doing it.
