Default Pearl Eliminator problem

At the heel of the right pedal, where the screw holds the piece to the base, it seems the nut is getting smaller or something. The pedal shifts and swivels around (not a lot) and clicks. Ive taken it apart and cleaned, tightened, and it still moves and clicks. It doesnt slide forward into another position, just wiggles and i dont know how to make it stop. Any ideas?

I have the same pedal in a single.

It's a great one.

You may just need to tighten the key rod bolt a little tighter with a different type of key, like an angled type to get a little more torque to keep it in place.

If that's not the case, the nut on the bottom may have gotten stripped a little somehow, so maybe check again for wear on the nut threads.

If it looks a little bad, you can get a replacement for it, but in the mean time, try a bit of that white plumbing thread tape--the type you'd use on a faucet or shower head.

It's real cheap, and will hold the nut better till you get another one--if you need to.
Just a bit on the key rod will do it.

It might be the key rod threads are not right and you didn't notice the first time...

It may just not be sitting in the "slot" for the different settings....(?)

I can put mine in between the slots , but I did have to tighten it more when it wasn't in a notch (I tried all sorts of stuff with this pedal...).

But, hopefully it's nothing major.

Hope some of this can help.
