Default Rockstar vs. Superstar

What is the difference between Rockstars and Superstars?
Is there much of a difference in sound?

Thanks!

As of what I know:

Superstar has 6 ply. 4 ply of birch(inner) 2 ply of basswood(outer)

Rockstar has 6 ply. 4 ply basswood(inner) 2 ply of birch (outside)

Also, I've heard there mostly the same kit, both got star-cast mounting, same hardware ect. But Soundwise, the Rockstar is louder and cuts through more. But the superstar has more of a fat sound. And the rockstar is cheaper because there is less birch.

Superstar replaced the rockstar. Most people i know prefer the Superstar. I dont really like either, but if you are thinking about buying, test them out and see which you like more (obviously).

Superstars are the better drums by far. Die cast hoops, better shells. I own a set, and trust me, you can't go wrong with the extra money for the superstars :D
