Default Aquarian Z 100 Heads

I tried to search for this so if I missed it I apologize. I've just seen the ads for the Z 100 heads from Aquarian. Curious to know if anyone has tried them yet and your impressions of them. I'd especially be interested in feedback from anyone who's had them on for more than a short time to comment on durability of the coating and sound qualities.
Thanks

This is just a wild guess, but they are probably talking about Aquarian Z-100 heads, like the title suggests.

Z-100 is Aquarian new coating formula.

Less thicker, more responsive and the same durability.

From what I gathered from a z-100 snare head user, he said the Z-100 coating is still strong but more responsive which let the snare sing with nice harmonic overtone. It compare more with Remo ambs and Evans G1 now.

The old Aquarian coating was thicker for the durability reason and people thought it focussed the sound too much so Z-100 was Aquarian answers to them.

My reaction was that Aquarian has reinvented the Ambassador.

I might try one on a snare, but I think I'm done with Aquarian on toms. They just don't hold up very well. The Super 2 heads were great at first, but sounded flat after a couple of months, The mylar they use feels rubbery to me.

I have a new set of clear EC2s and coated G2s waiting to be mounted so it'l be a while before I venture into uncharted waters again.

YMMV

He meant, what ARE the Z-100 heads, which is the same thing I was thinking because I had never heard of them. But someone else answered this question after you...like you could have tried to instead of treating the guy like an idiot.

I tried them as a promo offer....
Played them at a gig, and after 30 min. of playing the coating was ALL gone and I was about the bust the thing!!

I usually play Aquarian Response 2, and they last a great while.

Avoid the Z-100's at allllll costs!!

I have the Z-100 coating on all the new Snare heads I ordered. I LOVE IT!!! It feels a bit more like a regular Remo Amb. But I don't mind it at all. No problems with the coating chipping off or anything.... I fully support these heads!
