Default Billy Kilson

I searched and i found no threads for this guy.....

Now i haven't heard a lot from this guy but everything i've heard has been amazing.. The way he plays the hi-hats is too damn smooth and cool.. and the way he lays down the grooves is just tasty.
His work with Chris Botti is just great.
I heard from a good friend that he studied with Larry Finn ( Berklee professor) and they were classmates.. both great drummers.

Yeah. All of his stuff with the Dave Holland Quintet is amazing. He can be quite sensitive and quite explosive. Good stuff. Check out Dave Holland's Prime Directive album.

i heard his work with the quintet and it's amazing...... he's very good.. i like how he moves while he plays it's fun.
here's an interesting video where he does a solo, watch how he plays with the time.. there's a part where the other musicians kinda get lost but they come back quickly..
cheers,

I like nothing about Botti's music, songwriting, or way he handles himself on stage, but I cannot say anything bad about anyone else on that stage.

Kilson kills, son.

Wow,

My wife just drug me out to see Chris Botti. Man, I was dreading it.

Hadn't really listened that much, so I didn't know what I was in for.

I am 37 years old and have been to MANY concerts through the years.

Never, ever, ever in my lifetime have I ever seen such an amazing drummer. He stole the show (he didn't steal it, Chris is not selfish on stage at all. He treated all his musicians like gold.) and I had goose bumps all night.

His dynamics are just insane. Tons of SPEED and skill, but even more groove.

I thought Terry Bozio was the best I had seen. This guy just blew him outta the water!

Plus, his stage presence or showmanship was fantastic.

This guy is the total package. If you ever get a chance to see this guy live (even the drummerworld video doesn't do him justice) you owe it to yourself to see him.

Chris is a great musician and frontman as well. Great, great show.
