Default a DEEP bass/drum pocket

I thought Gary Willis( Bass ) and Sebastien Corneilsson ( a Dutch drummer ) are pulling off the ultimate locked-on bass n' drum groove here.

the volume is low, so you will need to crank yours up:

Ahhhhh, I could listen to this all day. Thats whats special about drummers and bassists..... we can jam together all day and not need anyone or anything else and be surrounded by a world of groove.

Can say the same for a guitarist.

The keyboard, guitarist(s), and singer all contribute to the song. Support them! You will find yourself having more complex musical dialogue than ever before. Try comping to your rock and pop tunes during solos ( but drop the volume so the soloist has the floor ). I do this for most of the rock/pop tunes we play. It can make a good solo a killer solo if done well ( subjectively speaking of course ).

Gary Willis is almost like a drummer, using a bass guitar. ( to play it finger style without the slap n' pops is amazing. You can see the Pastorious influence , too )
